Many years ago, when I was but a wee lad (well, in college), I bought a grey-market Initial D collection. It had every episode/movie released up until that point, which as I recall was 1st Stage, 2nd Stage, 3rd Stage, and Extra Stage.

But my favorite part was what they called Battle Stage. It was only the actual racing from Stages 1-3, with nothing else. I mean, let’s face it. I came for the sweet drift action, not the teen angst.

I watched the first season. It was cool but then I couldn’t find any where to watch the rest. Altho I gave up pretty easily and didn’t want to spend money

If you are talking bout initial d, then yes its its tough to find it. I have all the 'stages' saved on a hdd tho so i can give it to you if we ever meet (mostly Nashville later in the year)

I love Initial-D but after watchinga few more anime series with my kid they do start go follow a formula

1. Our hero (95% male) must compete in a contest that everyone seems to think is the most important thing in the world. Episode builds to this ultimate battle

2. Our boy faces down some astronomical odds or dastardly plot and all seems lost.

3. Somehow pulls it out at the end , honor is salvaged, same again next week

Initial D has the advantage of being the first one I watched plus cool cars and crashing off the togue does at least seem a bit hazardous. When it’s about kids with fucking spinning tops (beyblade) or some playground card game they’re trying to sex up with cartoon monsters I find it rather hard to care...

Stage 4 is on Amazon but it’s very costly. I’ll have to watch it on the dark web where I watch RWBY and one punch man.

Yeah Wangan. I haven’t check in a looooong time, but I think at the time I watched e first season the rest had been taken down for copy right reasons.

Altho Maybe it was just the dubbed version that I couldn’t find,  and I was tired of watching subbed.
